WELCOME TO PETITE ART STUDIO!
Hi! I’m Amanda! I’ve been working as an elementary art school teacher for the past twenty years, along with regularly taking on other creative projects.
My teaching philosophy centers around creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where young artists are inspired to explore their ideas while experimenting with various art mediums. Mistakes are celebrated as valuable learning opportunities, promoting patience and self-confidence.
The lessons I create regularly integrate literature, art history and social-emotional learning, which help to foster a holistic art experience. Children develop critical thinking skills, make connections, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Above all, I believe that every child is an artist and has a voice that should be heard and celebrated. By providing a calm and welcoming space, my goal is to help children find art inspiration in their own world and to ignite a lifelong love for art.
